Ionix Static Eliminators are designed to eliminate paper sheet feeding problems in air fed sheet separating feeders caused by static electricity. 

Do NOT install Ionix units for static problems other than feeding problems without consulting Ionix first.

Ionix units must be sized and installed based upon the installation sizing guidelines below. You must determine the proper sizing for the Ionix to perform satisfactory. Ionix units installed in any other applications not described below might not perform satisfactory. Call Ionix for proper sizing for applications not shown. These are the MINIMUM size recommendations for the equipment listed.

Installation Guidelines. Ionix Static Eliminators are specified based upon 2 factors:

1. Model size: Ionix units come in 3 sizes; Model 200, 300 and 400, The larger the number, the greater the static elimination capacity. This chart contains recommendations based upon hundreds of field installations. However, since static can vary depending upon on equipment, climate, and the material being run, these recommendations should not be absolute. These are the MINIMUM size recommendations for the equipment listed. You can always order a larger size than recommended (i.e., a Model 300 instead of a 200) to insure maximum static elimination effectiveness. However, you cannot install a SMALLER than recommended unit for the Ionix to perform satisfactory.
2. Hose size: Each Ionix model is available with a choice of five different hose connections. These are designated -2, -3, -4 and -5. The larger the number, the larger the hose. This chart shows the relationship between hose inside diameter and the Ionix designator.
   

Manufacturers often change hose sizes during a production run of the same model machine and 
service technicians sometimes change hose sizes on equipment. 
Therefore, you should always verify the blower hose inside diameter before ordering. 
Always select an Ionix model with a hose fitting air opening equal to or larger than the hose fitting. 
Using too small a hose fitting will cause air restriction and degrade equipment performance.
