Ionix Static Eliminator Model PL300-2 and HPPL300-2

The Ionix Model PL300-2 and HPPL300-2 are designed to eliminate static during normal blowoff of plastic surfaces after fabricating or before decorating.

Application of Ionix in plastics, fiberglass and composite industries

Plastics - Thermoforming, rotational molding, blow molding, foam fabricators and plastics fabricating - Ionix installed in the blow off air line for cleanup make it fast and east. Install one Ionix in each air hose.
Plastics - Mold release
- Ionix installed in the mold release air lines to eject small or light parts. Use the HPPL300-2 for the high pressures. Call for sizing.
Plastics - Resin and colorant feeding and mixing - Ionix installed in aerator air lines eliminates uneven accumulation and mixing of colorant and resins in feeding processes.
Plastics - Rotational molding - Blowing out the inside of mold prior to introduction of resin and colorants with Ionix prevents static which causes uneven distribution of colorant and in turn color swirl. Ionix used in blowing out complete products dislodges static plastic particles inside finished product which normal blowoff won't dislodge.
Fiberglass and composites de-molding - Ionix installed in the mold air lines eliminates the static created during the de-molding process. Ionix prevents ignition of hazardous release agents.
Plastic sign makers
- Ionix installed in the blow off air line eliminates static on plastic surface prior to painting.

Benefits of Ionix for plastic fabricators

Ionix Static Eliminators can endure the rugged work environment of shops without damage. Ionix static elimination technology is a less expensive static eliminator process so you can economically justify the cost of a static eliminator. Ionix is also suitable to use in hazardous environments. It contains no hazardous or nuclear material.

Selecting the proper Ionix model

Ionix Model PL300-2 - For applications up to 50 psi/3.5 bar.
Ionix Model HPPL300-2 - For applications up to 150 psi/10.5 bar.

For shops who do not currently have a dedicated blow off air line, they should purchase the complete PL300 or HPPL300 Ionix Static Control System. This includes 1 Ionix cartridge, 1 pistol grip air gun, 25’ of 3/8” hose with ¼” threaded nipples on each and 2 hose clamps. The shop simply threads a quick connect to the hose to complete installation. When your ready to blow off, remove your spray gun from air hose, attach the Ionix hose, blow off surface, remove Ionix hose when done and reattach spray gun to paint.

For shops who currently have a dedicated blow off line, the shop would purchase an individual Ionix, cut their air line and insert the Ionix in the blow off air line.

PL300 and HPPL 300 kit with cartridge, 25 feet of 3/8" hose with 1/4" threaded ends and pistol grip air hose.

Installation and maintenance

Ionix must be installed on a air hose dedicated to blow off. Do not install Ionix on the same air hose used for painting or any other function other than blowoff without consulting Ionix first.

Use only as much pressure as is necessary to remove static. Remember – high pressure velocity air over plastic might create more static than it removes.

Air passing over our treated core inside the Ionix unit creates the Ionix effect. Over time and use, this interior core dissipates. Therefore, once a year Ionix must be replaced. To replace Ionix, you simply remove the old Ionix from the air line and install a new Ionix. Ionix contains no hazardous materials and can be discarded in recyclable waste.
